Welcome to our latest project, a serene two-bedroom flat in the heart of Chelsea, showcasing a Japandi Style Airbnb design. Our client, a savvy property investor specialising in Airbnb and short-let properties in central London, discovered House Designer through a Google search. After an initial consultation, he knew we were the right fit to bring his vision of a clean, neutral, and minimalist space to life.
The brief was straightforward: create a clean, neutral, and minimalistic design that exudes understated luxury, while still being practical for short-term guests. The £15,000 budget needed to stretch across two bedrooms, an open-plan living area, and the kitchen, while maintaining high standards of style and comfort. With our Japandi-inspired approach, we were able to strike the perfect balance, making the space both functional and welcoming.

The moment you step into the open-plan living area, you’re greeted by soft, neutral tones and a harmonious blend of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian warmth. The curved cream sofa is the centrepiece, designed not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for comfort. A standout feature of the space is the vertical wood panelling on the wall. It adds a layer of texture that brings warmth to the room, while remaining subtle and sophisticated. Paired with the bold black and white abstract artwork, the space feels calm, modern, and effortlessly stylish—perfect for capturing the interest of Airbnb guests from around the world.
The dining area is designed for versatility, featuring a round table with ribbed wood detailing and plush beige chairs that provide a cosy, inviting spot for meals or work.
