A Modern Luxe Retreat for a First-Time Buyer
Our client, a young professional purchasing her first home in Putney, came to us with a simple brief: “I want something that feels luxurious, calm and grown-up; but still affordable.” We created a modern luxe bedroom design that delivered just that. From the elevation drawings to final 3D visuals, every detail was considered to bring her dream to life.
Design Direction and Concept
We began by crafting a clean, modern-luxe mood board with a soft palette of olive green, warm neutrals and ivory tones. The centrepiece: a vertical channeled headboard in deep green velvet, grounding the design with sophistication and comfort. We paired this with sculptural bedside tables in a creamy lacquered finish echoed in the custom designed media unit across the room.
Wall Panelling and Elevation Detailing
Referencing classic joinery, we created a simple yet effective wall panelling layout behind the bed. This was designed as part of our technical CAD elevation to guide the fit-out and lighting placement. The symmetry of the mirrors, bedside lamps and picture lights helps elevate the space while creating balance around the bed.
Thoughtful Bedroom Layout for Comfort and Function
The layout was designed with symmetry, flow, and natural light in mind. We positioned the TV and console on the opposite wall, leaving space for a dedicated dressing area by the window, making full use of the natural light. This functional yet elegant layout ensures every corner of the room serves a purpose while maintaining a spacious, uncluttered feel.
The Finished Bedroom
The final design was warm, calm and cohesive; exactly what our client hoped for. Every item, from the abstract artwork to the custom vanity and velvet chair, reflects her personality while maintaining that timeless, curated feel.
